    Project description:

    Mandakini Mahila Bunkar Samiti (MMBS) – MMBS is the group of women who lost their bread winner in the Uttrakhand Flood 2013. It is an NGO registered under the Societies Act has been working in district Rudraprayag since post disaster with the objective economic development of disaster affected families. The objectives are derived from the premise that, when local communities secure economic and have access to necessary information and technical and financial support, they will have the incentive to work actively toward the long-term sustainable livelihood with the objective to promote self-sustaining handloom based livelihood for 300 disasters affected families in 7 villages and link end market that will generate minimum monthly income of INR 3000 to maximum monthly income INR 6000 per month per stakeholder. MMBS needs volunteers who can help them in designing of woolen products and planning of project activities.
